Nutrition Society of New Zealand 2010 Conference update

Event DetailsThe conference theme is: Integrated Nutrition: From cells to sales.
The major sessions will be focused around five key topics:
1. Integrating nutrition and education
2. Integrating nutrition and physical activity
3. Integrating nutrition and physiology
4. Integrating nutrition and food product development
5. Integrating nutrition and the environment
The conference venue is Rutherford House, which is part of Victoria University’s Pipitea Campus. The large lecture block and foyer are in the base of a tower block located downtown, close to the railway station and Parliament buildings. The bus interchange is also alongside the lecture block/foyer complex. This location is close to Te Papa, down town shopping, cafes and restaurants.
The conference dinner will be held at “Shed 5”, on the water front, close to the conference venue.
Accommodation. There are many hotels nearby and the back packers (the historic Waterloo Hotel) is located just one block away, with a wide range of accommodation right through to Sky TV and ensuite bathroom at $92 twin. A reasonably priced hotel, the Ibis, is nice and close.
Conference fees. Probably around $300 (plus dinner $80).
